The third Annual 'Sapori diVini' (play on words that means 'Divine Flavors", as well as 'Wine Flavors', takes off with the opening of two exhibitions, one of photographs entitled 'La donna è il vino' (The Woman is Wine), and one of paintings entitled 'Vinarelli di Torgiano, quadri che bevono vino' (Little Wines of Torgiano, Paintings That Drink Wine). The 'Vin Da Stup' ('Bottling Wine'), was created two years ago by the 'Associazione Insieme per Caraglio' ('Together for Caraglio Association'), with two objectives: to revive the ancient tradition of bottling wine at Easter time, and at the same time, promote the local wine, Merola. "Vineria" is an Italian neologism that defines a place where wine is sold. The vineria "I Tre Archi" (The Three Arches) is located in Buttigliera d'Asti, inside the Palazzo Biglione, a building dating back to the seventeenth and eighteenth centuries.
The palace was recently restructured, but the original wooden ceiling was saved and the three stone arches, that were part of the original structure, give a characteristic, unique touch to the interior. View Article |
