Second annual Expo dei Sapori (Exposition of Flavors) Staff Writer - October 15, 2003
The Second edition of the Expo dei Sapori (Exposition of Flavors), the enogastronomy show organized by Ge.Fi at the Fiera di Milano from November 13 to November 18, 2003 introduces 900 exhibitors in 30,000 square meters (about 100,000square feet) of exposition space and forecasts the participation of 20,000 trade operators. On October 14, 2003, during a press conference at the restaurant l'Altro Luogo (the Other Place) in Milan, the promoter of the show Antonio Intiglietta announced that in addition, 63 masters certificates will be awarded, wine and cooking courses as well as nutritional education for children will be available.
During the press conference, the Lombardy Region and the Expo dei Sapori awarded two recognition to Milanese gastronomy personalities. The first was awarded to Aimo Moroni for his interpretation of Italian cuisine in Milan; the second went to Anna Gosetti della Salda, author of the best selling cook book "Le Ricette Regionali Italiane" (Italian Regional Recipes), now in its fifteenth reprint. During the evening, the journalist Marco Gatti announced the "Top Hundred", or the 100 best Italian wines that will be available for tasting at the Expo dei Sapori.
