This trade show offers up the "Ancient Flavor from the Field", represented by the typical food products of the Italian peasant tradition, to the "Flavor of the Ocean", or the products typical of the enogastronomical culture from cities facing the Mediterranean shores. Among the various quality DOP products from various parts of Italy, Traditional Balsamic Vinegar, organic Parmigiano cheese, Tuna from Favignana (Sicily), Bottarga from Oristano, to mention but a few which can be found year after year.
This promises to an agenda filled with exclusive engagements, such as La tavola del Re (King's Table), with the best chefs from the Romagna coast and inland restaurants who will prepare their specialties live, or the Laboratori del Gusto (Taste Labs), where new wine and food pairings will be tried, by creating recipes which combine different regional traditions.
To underscore the festive and social aspects of the event, theater representations, and animations will be available, in addition to open meetings with the participation of renowned journalists and politicians, with whom the public will debate environmental, political, and social matters, focusing especially on Italian regional traditions.
The past events have been featured on national TV shows, such as La Vita in Diretta (Live Life) and Gusto (Taste). Thanks to the ongoing commitment of the organizers, this year will be no exception and the media coverage will be guaranteed by national TV channels as well as in print in trade end specialized magazines.
The enthusiasm shown by the public, which in 2006 amounted to 10,000 visitors, confirm the importance of this event.
