Vino&Dintorni (Wine&Surroundings): The Flavors of Italy

 Once again, on October 29 and 30, 2005 Vino&Dintorni (Wine&Surroundings) returns to Segrate, in the province of Milan. this event is the wine and food autumn appointment organized in collaboration with the Movimento Turismo del Vino Lombardo (Lombardy Wine Tourism Movement) and is the fifth annual for the trade show / market event that counts on about 100,000 visitors and 1,000 participating businesses.
The event will be held in an area of 10,000 square meters (over 107,000 square feet) at the exclusive Parco Esposizioni di Novegro (Novegro Show Park), an international-level trade show location and will host 200 exhibitors, who present the best Italian wine and food products. The concept is taking visitors on a journey across Italy, from the northern Alps, down to the southern Sicilian island.
Red and white DOC wine tasting, organized in collaboration with the Lombardy Wine Tourism Movement, as well as tasting of top quality extra virgin olive oil produced by the best Italian olive press facilities, will help participants refine their senses, identify the typical bouquets, and create praise-winning wine-food pairings.
In addition, lessons on how to set a perfect table will be available, as well as excursions into the past on a journey to re-discover ancient, traditional recipes and methods from times long-gone, such as the preparation of the home-made culatello (kind of Italian salami), or learning about wine therapy, with creams, massage and wine juice baths.
Between tastings, visitors may relax with several forms of family entertainment. Special animation and theme workshops will be available for the children.
