New Prestigious Award to Malibrán Staff Writer - May 24, 2005
Malibrán's Gorio, the Valdobbiadene Prosecco DOC Spumante Extra Dry 2004, has won yet another prestigious award, this time at a famous US international competition, the 66th L. A. County Fair Wine Competition, held at the Fairplex in Pomona, California, from May 10 to 13, 2005, where almost 4,000 wines competed.
Great and well deserved satisfaction for Maurizio Favrel, the young owner and winemaker of Malibrán winery, who entered the contest with just one wine and at the very last minute, signing up and delivering the wine at the L.A. County Fair booth at Verona's Vinitaly at the beginning of April.
The wine won Gold Medal, Best of Class, Best Sparkling wine at the show.
Our compliments, and keep up the good work Maurizio!
