Alimentaria is the most important international food and beverage exhibition in Spain and one of the leading international events of this type. Its eighteenth edition will be held from the 22nd to the 26th of March 2010 at Fira de Barcelona (Barcelona Trade Fair).

Around 5,000 leading food and beverage manufacturers and distributors are expected for Alimentaria 2010, with close to 150,000 professional buyers from over 155 countries in attendance.
The exhibition space of around 94,500 square meters will be divided into various sectors, with 13 shows organized by product type, plus an extensive program of innovation and research-related activities.

Alimentaria 2008
The exhibition presents an extensive program, allowing visitors to enjoy a great variety of related activities, including conferences and scientific seminars to explore the sector's trends, new market tendencies, and new business opportunities. In addition, Alimentaria 2010 will include the 8th International Food Forum, the 8th International Congress on the Mediterranean Diet, and various other international projects.

Finally, Alimentaria 2010 will present numerous entertaining and educational side-shows featuring top experts in each area. The seminars and conferences include, among others, "Spain, the Country of 100 Cheeses", "Vinorum", "Spain, Land of Oil", "The Spain of Cured Iberian Meat Products", "BCN Vanguardia", and "Barcelona International Gastronomy Conference".
