Figli di un Bacco minore? (Childern of a Lesser Bacchus?)

Second national survey of native, traditional and minor DOC vines

Friday 28, Saturday 29 and Sunday 30 of May 2004, at the historic St. Francis convent in Bagnacavallo, Italy takes place the second annual national review "Childern of a lesser Bacchus?", dedicated to native vines and wines produced with it in all the Italian wine regions.

About 400 wines, made with about 180 types of native vines selected by about 300 wineries, will be available for tasting. In addition, there will be free tasting of some of the best typical and traditional products from Emilia-Romagna, such as Parmigiano Reggiano cheese, Parma ham, Mortadella Classica di Bologna (bologna), Pera Cocomerina (watermelon pear) jam and bread freshly baked by knowledgeable local fornai, or bakers.

"Figli di un Bacco minore?" is organized by the Emilia-Romagna chapter of the Slow Food organization and the municipality of Bagnacavallo. There will be five tasting center for a maximum of thirty people each.
