The highway ride, smack dab in the middle of the Monday morning commute, takes us about five hours and, when we arrive and meet Cristo Lepori, our Italian marketing manager, I feel like I have already had a full day's work.
By mid afternoon some of the stands are already empty, while others are starting to look like wine bars, with bunches of hangers-on drinking, more than tasting, the quality wines from opened bottles which would be a crime to throw away and are thus toted away in jam-packed backpacks.
We close the day with a vegetable soup at my mom's place before retiring for an early, well deserved, nigh'st sleep.
