WineCountry.IT and Table Top s.a.s., the company which produces the Centellino AreaDivino, the exciting new top-of-the-bottle mini decanter which allows wine lovers to appreciate the aroma, perfume and nuances of important wines right from the first sip, have reached an agreement for the exclusive distribution of this amazing tool in the US. I might come across as a snob, but I bring my centellino with me when I go to a restaurant.
WineCountry.IT has reached an agreement with St. Louis, Missouri, Fiorino Italian Imports, L.L.C., to distribute wholesale in 49 of the 50 states as well, while we keeping the exclusive distribution rights in the company home state, California.

The Centellino debuts on YouTube
In addition to the official presentation of the Centellino AreaDivino, a Google search revealed another YouTube entry, a silent video, clearly amateur, showing the use of the decanter.
Given the recent agreement signed with Table Top, at WineCountry.IT we are rather pleased about it. We already knew that the Centellino is currently enjoying well deserved success, brought about by years of trial and research. The posting on YouTube of non professional videos by people who appreciate the object though, tells us that the Centellino is rapidly becoming one of those accessories which is a must for the passionate wine lover. In addition, in this case the success has not been brought about by a multi-million dollar advertising campaign, but rather sprang from a grass roots, word of mouth movement generated by the appreciation for this object on the part of user who had the opportunity to try it. Basically, it is the quality of the product, its pleasant, attractive shape, and the faultless accomplishment of its expected task, that is, the real time oxygenation of the wine poured from a bottle which was left to rest for years or even just months.
An experience common to anybody who orders wine by the bottle in a restaurant, is the fact that the best glass is invariably the last one, poured when the wine has had some time to 'breathe'. This is even more evident when uncorking important bottles. Now though, thanks to the Centellino, it is possible to enjoy that expensive, excellent bottle of Brunello Riserva DOCG La Togata Riserva 1999 that you order at the restaurant starting with the first glass. I stand my ground and, though some may call me pretentious, I don't go to a restaurant without a centellino, and will change my behavior only when all the best restaurants in the San Francisco Bay area have centellinos on hand for the enjoyment of their wine loving patrnons.
Up to now, Table Top and WineCountry.IT have presented the Centellino at various trade shows in Europe and the United States, where it is used to pour wines at all the Italian Flavor Forums, the invitation only tastings dedicated to professional wine and food buyers which our group organizes in San Francisco, California. The excitement which now surrounds this fantastic small object sprang from these presentations.
